AES Playground Fund

Our current playground was installed in 1992 and is in need of repair. The slides are broken, swings are missing, the zip line is no longer functional, and the list goes on and on. This is creating a safety issue for the students and community children who use the playground. The current playground does not support children with all types of abilities.
This past year has been incredibly challenging for our students, families, staff, and the entire community. In September 2024, our school was severely impacted by the flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. The disaster damaged not only our building, grounds, and playground—but also deeply affected many of our families.

As we continue to recover, we see the construction of a new playground as more than just a physical rebuild. We hope it will stand as a symbol of resilience and renewal for both our school and our broader community. By providing a fun, inclusive, and safe space, this playground will support our students' well-being and bring neighbors together—offering a place for joy, connection, and healing.
